ShareFile 2022: The Year in Review

As 2022 winds down, we wanted to take a moment to recap all the exciting ShareFile updates from the last 12 months. This year brought many updates, all focused on improving our products and services for our No. 1 priority — our customers!

Let’s take a look at what ShareFile has been up to this year and how we’re delivering the collaboration tools, experience, and security that the modern workplace demands:

ShareFile and Cloud Software Group

A few months ago, we transitioned our portfolio of collaboration solutions, including ShareFile, Podio, and RightSignature, into a separate business unit as part of the newly formed Cloud Software Group (CSG). This change gives ShareFile the opportunity to exclusively focus and invest in innovation that will enhance our customers’ and partners’ experiences for all three products. Our users will receive more product enhancements and process improvements focused on the things they need to get work done. Focus on Customer Centricity

This year also brought a renewed commitment to customer centricity. At ShareFile, our mission is to enable our customers to collaborate with their clients on document workflows simply, efficiently, and securely. With this customer-centric approach in mind, we invested time revamping our customer success stories, re-launching our live user webinars, and creating more educational videos to ensure our customers’ success using our products.

New Enhancements: Collaboration, Experience, and Security

We spent the year working to deliver new product enhancements that improve our products’ stability and user experience. Our commitment to product enhancements focused on collaboration, experience, and security improvements.

Collaborate with ShareFile and Microsoft

With a Microsoft 365 integration, ShareFile users can now extend their usage with Microsoft 365 online. Whether in the ShareFile UI or the Citrix Files app, users can create, share, and collaborate on live documents. You can enhance productivity with document workflows and e-signatures, extend OneDrive by sharing documents securely with anyone and use a single app to access files in OneDrive, SharePoint, and internal network shares.

Streamline Agreements even Faster in Citrix Files

This new capability, offered for both Windows and MacOS users, enables a user to initiate an e-signature workflow straight from Citrix Files on their computer, without opening a web application to send for signature. ShareFile users can now streamline their agreement processes with just a few simple clicks, no matter where they choose to work.

Podio Security & Mobile Enhancements

Podio has put an extra focus on its commitment to security, compliance, and privacy this year. With User Restrictions, we gave organization admins more control to secure data from being deleted or workspaces created without their knowledge. We also made multiple updates to our data retention policy with more granular data deletion capabilities.

Additionally, our mobile apps have seen numerous new features this year, including the following long-standing customer requests:

• Custom voting on Android
• Multi-select of documents
  
• New current location usage
  
• Improved search and filters on iOS

ShareFile Speed Enhancements

We understand speed is important when it comes to accessing and sharing files. With that in mind, we increased the file upload, download, and preview performance of files for the ShareFile web UI and Citrix Files for iOS and Android. Additionally, we’ve updated the file previews for a better experience. The improved file previewing experience within the ShareFile web UI allows users to preview large Excel and PowerPoint documents.
